I've ridden the Fun in the Sun Trial the past two years. Laura and I are planning to make the drive down again this year. It's a great event and a convenient excuse to take a break from winter. Any others considering the trip?
My 91-year old Dad and I (Bob Poetzsch) are also heading South on March 3-10 to attend the FTA "Fun in the Sun" 2-day event on March 7th & 8th. 11 am Start on Saturday & 9am Start on Sunday (after turning clocks ahead) will feel like a very early Start on Sunday morning. I know Daytona Supercross is only about an hour drive from Ocala on Saturday evening.
I recall being told they do the early Sunday start so out of towners can get on their way earlier.
The first year I went to Fun in the Sun, I went to the supercross on Saturday. Because of the late-night and the hour-long drive, getting up in time for the trials on Sunday was not much fun. I was staying near Daytona that year.
Heard yesterday there might be one more attendee from NETA.
