For a lot of reasons, a lot of folks do not favor facebook.   They oppose the politics of many riders and they like to censor, so that is something.  I do hope a good alternative emerges.  Maybe this is it.

For now, we have practically no political element in our discussions but there are often personal stories.  These add a lot to the quality of content.  Right now we have an announcement of a class win by Josh's dad, Scott Porter.   He is riding a Fantic that he bought from me.   And then there is a post from a guy in the Tamworth Club Motorsport gang that just bought a different 301 Fantic I once owned.  Club Motorsport is a private paved car track over two miles long with extreme elevation changes.  It has great views of Mt. Chocorua and is a track to rival Loudon's.  The surrounding area is the base of Mt Whittier and has very good riding.  Several car and motorcycle racers there have recently branched out into trials...

Sorry.... there is something wrong with Facebook.  The posts are still available and ongoing though.  Just google "Granite State Moto Trials Group".

I love all the activity that your Facebook page has. There are a lot of us from around NETA that have joined to keep up with our trials friends in the frigid north! I started the Nutmeg Trials Group (hit me up for a link if anyone wants it, also searchable) along a similar approach but it never took off. I'm really hoping the NETA forums catch on, surely folks want to keep in touch in the off season!

Possibly a permissions issue.  Facebook permissions controls if a Facebook post is viewable by public, friends or only yourself.

One way to avoid problems like this is to copy the content from Facebook and paste it into a post here. Drag and drop also works. That's how I added the photo below from the Facebook post that Charles referenced.

Thanks David.

The Facebook page was created by Josh Porter, who lives in Sanbornton, but not at the property where we ride.  He is in the middle of a multi-generational trials family.  You see him at all the NETA trials minding for his 11 year old son, Anthony.  The award above was won by Josh's dad, Scott, who lives in North Carolina or Tennessee....  so does not compete in our region. All of the Porters are great riders as well as super friendly people.

Josh is a very talented rider in his own right, but he also knows a lot of people.  His invitations make up a large part of the 258 member facebook page.  The other heavy contributor is Rob Alexander, who is always looking to grow the sport and knows people too.  The three of us are the administrator and moderators of the page.  What really makes it tick though is the random weirdness that gets thrown in.  There is practically no moderation needed.... but we do allow going a little off track, and advertising for personal gain (trials related).

I am hopeful the NETA community is small and focused enough that moderation will not be needed here either.
